Police says four people died when a vehicle that they were traveling in, overturned at Dennilton outside Grobblersdal.

The death toll in road crashes in Limpopo has risen to seven. Five people have been killed in two separate road crashes on Saturday night.

Police say four people died when a vehicle that they were traveling in, overturned at Dennilton outside Grobblersdal.

In another crash, one person was killed when a vehicle also overturned at Ga-Mailula outside Polokwane. In the third incident, two women, believed to be in their late 30s, were killed when their car veered off the road and rolled several times along the Bushvalley Road near Tarentaalrand in Tzaneen.

Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says cases of culpable homicide have been opened.

“The police in Dennilton outside Grobblersdal are investigating a case of culpable homicide following the death of four people after a motor vehicle which was conveyed five people lost control and overturned killing one person instantly the other died upon arrival at hospital,” says Ngoepe.
