eThekwini Metro Police say special traffic management plans have been put in place to ensure that motorists are not inconvenienced ahead of former president Jacob Zuma’s court appearance on Friday.
Various roads in the Durban CBD will be closed from 8:00am between Joseph Nduli which is known as Russell Street and Joe Slovo also known as Field Street till 13h00.
Senior Superintendent Parboo Sewpersad says traffic will be diverted away from the High Court precinct
He says: “Traffic will be diverted away from the High Court. Motorists must expect congestion and delays.”
“Metro Police members will be out in full force in all intersections to divert traffic congestion.”
Motorists are urged to plan their destination in and out of the city accordingly.
