The four were sentenced to death for killing a security policeman, Johannes Mokoena.

The remains of four PAC activists who were hanged in 1964 will be exhumed in Mamelodi cemetery, east of Pretoria on Wednesday.

This on the same day that the party is mourning the loss of its founder’s wife, Mama Sobukwe.

The four were sentenced to death for killing a security policeman, Johannes Mokoena.

Mokoena was shot dead in Munsieville near Krugersdorp, west of Johannesburg in March,1963.

The four PAC members’ appeal failed and they were hanged on 16 June 1964.
