The ANC’s Waterberg regional leadership in Limpopo is expected to meet with deployees from the party’s National Executive Committee and the Provincial Executive Committee. They are expected to discuss a way forward on the registration process for the regional conference.

The conference, which has been scheduled for this weekend in Bela Bela, has not yet started due to disputed registration processes of delegates. It has so far been postponed four times due to a row over credentials and the verification process. More than two hundred delegates from about seventy branches are expected to attend the conference.

Last week,  ANC provincial secretary Nocks Seabi said the party’s national office had deployed a team of auditors to conduct verification of branch general meetings in the region. This was a bid to resolve a dispute that has halted the regional conference on several occasion

Last month’s Eastern Cape ANC provincial elective conference also got off to a slow star due to logistical issues.
