The annual campaign ’16 Days of Activism Against Women and Child Abuse’ kicked off in South Africa in November. This year renewed emphasis is being placed on sexual and domestic violence and sexual and gender-based violence committed by state agents such as the police and military.
Producer Euline Fillis from Fokus tells the story of a lady who has been raped three times. One of the perpetrators told her that he wanted to give her AIDS, but luckily she did not contract the virus.
She is a survivor who lives to tell the story and who is now calling for more HIV and AIDS awareness amongst rape survivors.
