The Dobsonville senior church member accused of raping a 12-year-old girl is expected to appear in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court today.
The matter returns to court after it was previously postponed to allow the State to finalise the indictment from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) before the case is transferred to the High Court for trial.
The Dobsonville church elder remains in custody after abandoning his bail application.
He was arrested after a video of the aftermath of the incident went viral in April this year.
The case is being prepared for transfer to the High Court.
