Ramaphosa to lead ANC election campaign in Johannesburg on Monday

The African National Congress (ANC) will intensify its campaign for votes in Johannesburg later on Monday morning.

Party president Cyril Ramaphosa  is expected to visit four areas in the city. He is expected to take the governing party’s campaign to Orange Farm, then Meadowlands in Soweto before heading to Alexandra township and Diepsloot late in the afternoon.

It’s only seven days before the local elections scheduled for next Monday and politicians are in the final push to persuade South Africans to vote for them.

After failing to secure the majority vote to form the government in 2016, the now ANC wants to cover the lost ground.

To achieve this, the governing party wants personal interaction with voters and it hopes to have contact with at least 11 million voters within the next seven days.

The African National Congress (ANC) will intensify its campaign for votes in Johannesburg later on Monday morning.

On Thursday, the ANC will hold its final election rallies in all voting districts across the country with its national Siyangqoba Rally planned for next Friday at Thokoza Park in Rockville here in Soweto.
