President Cyril Ramaphosa and the ANC have conveyed their condolences to the family of former President Jacob Zuma on the passing of his son.

Vusi Nhlakanipho Zuma passed away Sunday night in Johannesburg after a short illness at the age of 25.

He was the youngest of Zuma’s children with his late wife Kate, who died in 2000.

ANC Spokesperson Pule Mabe says: “The ANC shares its grief and it’s deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Vusi Nhlakanipho Zuma, the youngest of the children born to former President Jacob Zuma and the late Mrs Kate Zuma.”

“A bright and promising young lion and disciplined memeber of the ANC, Nhlakanipho Zuma was a dedicated and a humble activist who took keen interest in the livelihoods of our people. His acts of kindness and the gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts, adds Mabe.

The former president is said to be in Johannesburg with the rest of the family.
