President Cyril Ramaphosa says during his first 100 days as South Africa’s leader, government has been putting in efforts to tackle corruption and better the country as a whole.

He adds that although the country is still in junk status, government is doing everything in its power to boost the economy.

Speaking exclusively to SABC News on Sunday night, Ramaphosa reflected on his 100 days in office.

“The level of confidence amongst our people has gone up. They are positive about the way the country is being led in terms of going forward and they are also positive about dealing with the problems we have had in the past … problems such as corruption and bad governance. What we have been involved in in the past 100 days is to put the pillars and building stones to enable us to do even better,” adds Ramaphosa.
