Residents raised a number of issues to president Ramaphosa in the hope that they will be addressed.
Diepsloot is a sprawling township of approximately 140 000 people, north of Johannesburg. Unemployment, crime and poor service delivery are a major concern in the township.
The president says their manifesto addresses the very concerns raised by the people and the ruling party is ready to hit the ground running.
Hundreds of people came out to hear president Ramaphosa’s campaign.
The 2019 elections will be contested by 48 parties.
Also Ivory Park, young and old came out to see Ramaphosa, raising issues of electricity and the familiar story of jobs and crime.
