Ramaphosa to deliver SONA on Friday

Reading Time: < 1 minute

President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to deliver the State-of-the-Nation-Address in the National Assembly on Friday at 7pm.

For the first time in almost a decade someone other than former President Jacob Zuma will walk on the red carpet to the doors of Parliament to deliver the address.

Roads mostly in the Cape Town CBD will be closed from six o’clock tomorrow morning to accommodate the address.

Zuma was due to deliver the address last Thursday. However, National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete postponed it because of increased opposition to Zuma’s leadership.
