Minister Jeff Radebe says people should honour Nelson Mandela by protecting public buildings.

The Energy Minister Jeff Radebe says the best way South Africans can honour the legacy of former President Nelson Mandela is by refraining from activities that destroy community resources.

Radebe has specifically criticised the burning of public buildings, saying each South African has a role to play in developing the country.

“For every problem that arises, you find people burning public buildings. In fact those public buildings have to be paid by the tax payers themselves so it is important therefore that people should not only look at government to do all the things that we require in SA. You and I as ordinary citizens need to have our active citizenry in order to ensure that we put our shoulders on the wheel in building the SA that Mandela fought for and died for.” Click below for more on the story:
