Residents of Phuthaditjhaba in QwaQwa, Free State, are reeling from shock after police were called to the scene of the bodies of a police detective and his wife.
Police spokesperson Phemelela Dlamini says both bodies had gunshot wounds.
“At about 19:45 detective Pitso Ernest Moticoe and his wife Puleng Mokoena were found dead in their home in Phuthaditjhaba. They both sustained gunshot wounds on their heads. A murder and inquest docket has been opened to determine the cause of their death.”
