One protester has been shot and killed in Phuthaditjhaba in Qwaqwa – Free State.
Roads were blocked earlier as residents protested to complain about poor electricity supply and demanded better service delivery.
Municipal workers have also downed tools following unpaid medical and other benefits.
There was also a delay in their salaries payment.
The deceased’s family are distraught.
