The South African cricket team has completed a successful tour of the West Indies.

After having won the test series 2-0, the Proteas won the fifth and final T20 International in Grenada on Saturday night, for a -2 series victory.

The visitors who opted to bat first put on a series average of 168 for the loss of four wickets in their T20 overs.

Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram laid the foundation with a 128-run second wicket partnership.

De Kock made 60 and man-of-the-match, Markram, 70.

They then restricted the Windies to 143 for nine for victory by 25 runs.

Lungi Ngidi took three for 32 in his four overs, but the man who suffocated the home team’s batsmen, was the world’s best T20 bowler, Tabraiz Shamsi.

He took one for just 11 runs in his four overs. Next up for the Proteas is a tour to Ireland consisting of three One-Day – and three T20 Internationals, starting in Dublin on the 11th of this month.
