South African sprinter Akani Simbine.

Twenty-seven-year-year-old Akani Simbine from Kempton Park has his sights firmly set on becoming the first black African athlete to win gold in the blue-ribbon event. He placed fifth at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men’s 100 metres and is the 100 metres African record holder with a time of 9.84 seconds, which was set just this month.
