Judicial Service Commission interviews:

He says it’s an honour to be selected.

Govindjee says it is a culmination of years of hard work and sleepless nights.

“It was a surreal feeling and I felt profound gratitude and a sense of humanity upon hearing the news. There are fantastic candidates competing for one of the three recommendations for the High Court in Makhanda and I feel very, very privileged that the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) considered me to be a fitting candidate.”

“At this stage of my career, it is not the normal path to the bench but on reflection, there are a number of attributes of an academic that can serve the judiciary well,” adds Govindjee.
