Prince Wako Pitori using social media to impact lives

Prince Wako Pitori’s fans have been glued to their social media platforms since July after he launched The Shadow TalkThe Shadow Talk is an online show that gives people a platform to share controversial stories, confess, seek help and reunite with family and friends.

Everyone who comes on the show is anonymous, hidden behind a mask to protect their identity.

Prince, whose surname is Mazibuko, says his intention was to create a show that would allow people to lay bare their problems.

“I wanted to focus more on their emotions, depression, social issues, and even spiritual troubles.”

With a following of more than 250 000 on Facebook, the show has seen a significant audience with followers engaging on the episodes posted.

Music and poetry 

Mazibuko started his Facebook page in 2014 with the aim to share poetry and music. He gained 5 000 followers in a week and by the end of the second week, he already had 15 000 followers.

Last year, he released an album titled “Sniper ka Lefoko” with tracks including “Billy” and “Lerato la Malambane.”

According to Mazibuko, the album was well received.

“I am currently working on a new album that I am planning to release on my birthday, which is on 4 November.”

Future plans 

Born in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, and raised in Laudium, Pretoria, Mazibuko wants to touch more lives.

“I want The Shadow Talk to be the most impactful show in the country. Regardless of all my different talents, my initial dream has always been to walk in the shoes of the likes of Tyler Perry and the Fergusons.”
