The Home Affairs Department has engaged President Cyril Ramaphosa in a series of meetings at its headquarters in Pretoria as it seeks to strengthen the country’s immigration system.
President Ramaphosa has met the department’s top management who took him through the various departments and call centre.
The department has also demonstrated its e-visa system to the President.
The aim of the system is to improve the process of visa applications in an attempt to encourage investment, boost tourism and attract skilled labour to the country.
