President Ramaphosa reflects on his term as AU Chair amid the COVID-19 pandemic

President Cyril Ramaphosa says South Africa assuming Chairship of the African Union (AU) was a baptism of fire as it was the same month the first COVID-19 case was recorded on the continent.

The President says many of the priorities that were outlined had to be reorientated to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

He says even though the pandemic has dominated the continent, Africa has still been able to make advances on several key priorities.
