President Cyril Ramaphosa says Africa knows exactly what it wants from the EU-AU summit in Brussels. Ramaphosa has been invited alongside his counterparts from the continent. They will focus on key issues like peace and security, health and vaccine production.
The EU-AU summit takes place as the African continent has been batting to access COVID-19 vaccines.
When asked by reporters outside the summit venue. President Cyril Ramaphosa says vaccines are arriving in numbers but the continent is still calling for trips waiver to enable developing economies to widen access and manufacture their own vaccines. Other matters that will dominate sessions include investments, infrastructure development .
President Ramaphosa says it’s time for former colonizers to give back to the continent.
