The Presidency says the allegation of ethnic mobilization by President Jacob Zuma are equally without foundation.

Presidency Spokesperson Bongani Ngqulunga says the allegations reported in the media that President Jacob Zuma wishes to fire deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa and replace him with Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma are baseless lies.

He says the allegation of ethnic mobilization by the President are equally without foundation.

The South African Communist Party released a statement demanding answers from President Zuma on alleged plans to fire Ramaphosa.

The party also challenged the President to deny or confirm the allegations.
