Reading Time: 2 minutes

Premier Soccer League (PSL) tail-enders Polokwane City FC have been knocked-out in the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup by their rivals, Baroka FC.

City were beaten 1-0 in the cup encounter played at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Tuesday night.

Polokwane City FC coach Clinton Larsen says they wanted to advance to the last sixteen of the Nedbank Cup despite sitting in the relegation zone on the PSL log.

“We missed the opportunity … we wanted to move on to the next game. It is always frustrating when you miss so many chances. We can’t cry over this, we have to go back to training, keep working hard and look forward to the next game. It is not that we did not want to be part of the cup,” explains Larsen.

Below are the fixtures for the next round of the Nedbank Cup:

Baroka FC vs Hungry Lions FC

Happy Wanderers vs TS Sporting FC

Mbombela United vs Real Kings

Mamelodi Sundowns vs Vaal University

Bidvest Wits vs Chippa United

Highlands Park vs Kaizer Chiefs

Bloemfontein Celtic vs Maritzburg United

Black Leopards vs Amavarara FC
