Abantu Batho Congress was formed in January 2020 by Philani ‘PG’ Mavundla. The party describes itself as an Afrocentric, Pan-Africanist and womanist revolutionary movement.
Taking the land and power back to the indigenous leaders as the custodians of the people is one of the movement’s core pillars. The movement wants to return “dignity to the African indigenous.”
It says it will decolonize South Africa and bring Afrocentric Education for the African people and that they will be taught in their mother language like all successful countries, “for example the Chinese teaching in Mandarin or England teaching in English.”
The party is contesting this year’s municipal elections in Durban, eThekwini metro.
