Political parties encourage citizens to vote in W Cape

Various leaders of political parties and cabinet members are expected to be in the Cape Metro to mobilise South Africans to register to vote over the next two days.

This is the final voter registration drive ahead of the much-anticipated May general election.

Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane who will be accompanied by  Western Cape Provincial leader Bonginkosi Madikizela is expected to visit polling stations in Mitchells Plain on the Cape Flats.

State Security Minister Letsatsi Duba is expected to be in Khayelitsha while some of the other African National Congress (ANC) officials will be in various part of the province.

Economic Freedom Fighters  (EFF) Secretary General Godrich Gardee will start the party’s voter registration drive in Nyanga and Phillipi on the Cape Flats.
