Police have activated what they call a ’72 hour Activation Plan’ that includes a multidisciplinary team of Hawks investigators and forensics to track down cash-in-transit heist criminals.

This after armed robbers attacked a cash vehicle at a filling station in Hatfield, Pretoria earlier on Saturday.

Police have confirmed that one security officer is recovering in hospital after he was shot in the hand.

The criminals made off with an undisclosed amount of money using a getaway vehicle.

The armed robbery was carried out by two men. No arrests have been made yet.
