Northern Cape police are investigating the cause of an accident between a bus transporting ANC supporters and a car, that collided head-on on Saturday night.
The supporters were travelling from the ANC 108th anniversary celebrations in Kimberley through Namaqualand. The collision occurred between Upington and Keimoes.
Police’s Mohale Ramatseba says, “The driver of the sedan was killed instantly, and seven passengers from the bus sustained minor injuries, and were treated at the local hospital. It is reported that the bus was from Kimberley, and the driver of the sedan’s car was a police captain stationed at Upington.
The cause of the accident has not been established as yet and police investigations are continuing.
