Police have foiled an attempted cash-in-transit robbery in Midrand Friday evening. Twelve suspects have been arrested after police received a tip-off on the operation.
The suspects have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, possession of unlicensed firearms and possession of suspected stolen vehicles.

“The suspects were in the midst of planning a robbery at a house in Midrand when our tracking team penetrated the house. They arrested twelve suspects, recovered six stolen hijacked vehicles as well as three firearms including two rifles and a pistol.”
