Police used rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse a group of music revelers, who threw bottles on the stage at the DJ Nation annual bash in Taung in the North West.
Over 40 000 people attended the bash on Thursday.
Just after the eagerly awaited Durban based group performance of Destruction Boys the situation got out of hand.
Tickets sold out and people started demanding to get inside.
Since mid-night, music revelers tried to force themselves inside.
Several people were arrested and some sustained injuries.
