Residents and businesses in several areas north of Tshwane are expected to experience a planned 15-hour water supply interruption on Tuesday next week.
The City of Tshwane says it has been informed by Magalies Water of an urgent planned shutdown of the water outflow from the Klipdrift Water Treatment Works.
The shutdown, scheduled from 9am until midnight, will allow for the installation of an isolation valve on the bulk water supply pipeline.
Communities expected to be affected include Marokolong, Ramotse, Babelegi Industrial, Kekana Gardens, Kudube Units 1, 2, 3 and 6, Unit D, and Unit D Extension.
The City says the planned maintenance is necessary to improve the reliability of the bulk water supply system.
Authorities have urged affected residents and businesses to store enough water before the shutdown and use it sparingly during the interruption.
