Black Lawyer’s Association President, Busani Mabunda says judgment in Paralympian, Oscar Pistorius murder trial should be thorough and well-reasoned.
North Gauteng High Court Judge Thokozile Matilda Masipa will begin handing down her verdict from 9:30am on Thursday morning.
Pistorius allegedly shot and killed his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day in 2013. He is charged with premeditated murder as well as three weapons charges.
Speaking on Morning Live, Mabunda says Judge Masipa is objective and has always meted out the justice without fear or prejudice.
He says judicial precedent will be one of the key factors that the judge will take into account when she hands down the judgement.
