PIC Interim Board of Directors appointed

Maria Ramos is one of the members of the PIC interim board.

Finance Minister Tito Mboweni has appointed an Interim Board of Directors at the Public Investment Corporation (PIC).

The appointment will be effective from Friday to the July 31, 2020.

In a statement, the Treasury says the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson shall be elected at the first meeting to be convened by the Interim Board.

The members of the Interim Board include Sindi Mabaso – Koyanna, Irene Charnley, Tshepiso Moahlodi, Maria Ramos, Barbara Watson, Ivan Fredericks, Zola Saphetha, Bhekithemba Gamedze, Dr Angelo David, Sabelo de Bruin, Prof Bonke Dumisa, Advocate Makhubalo Ndaba and  Dr Reuel Khoza.

Pitsi Moloto and Dr Xolani Mkhwanazi were reappointed to the board.

Meanwhile, the Public Investment Corporation Commission of Inquiry is taking place in Pretoria.

On Wednesday, former Chief Executive Officer of PIC Dan Matjila said the Board Deputy Chairperson, Dr Xolani Mkhwanazi and some board members were working in “unison” to engineer his demise.- Additional reporting by Amina Accram.
