Former acting national commissioner, Khomotso Phahlane, is expected back in the Specialised Commercial Crimes court in Pretoria today to face charges of corruption. Phahlane will appear alongside his wife Beauty and businessman Durandt Snyman.
The three are facing six charges of corruption amounting to around R900 000.
They are also accused of contravening the provisions of the Prevention and Combating Corrupt Activities Act.
The case relates to the construction of Phahlane’s multi-million-rand and his fleet of luxury cars.
The Hawks and the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) believe Snyman facilitated the transactions.
