Phahlaane accuses Ipid of seizing documents illegally

Former acting national police commissioner, Kgomotso Phahlaane has accused the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) of seizing documents from seven of his properties which do not form part of the scope of their investigation against him.

Last Tuesday the police watchdog raided Phahlaane’s homes as part of its probe, into Phahlaane allegedly kickbacks to secure SAPS tenders.

This is when he was still of the Police’s forensic division.

Speaking on the Forum Phahlaane says any investigation that is done should be done lawfully.
