Penny Sparrow, who described black people as “monkeys” in a social media post in 2016, has died.

Her daughter, Charmaine Cowie, has confirmed the news. Reports say she was battling cancer.

Are white people & their token blacks seriously on Twitter expecting black people to be sad about Penny Sparrow’s death? A woman that compared us to wild animals, continuing a classic white trend of dehumanising us in our own country and continent? Miss me with that.

All these Penny Sparrow tweets are so mean. Since when is someone’s death celebrated??.

I don’t have any sympathy for that racist Penny Sparrow. Her kind did the same when the mother of our nation died.
