Port Elizabeth female fighter, Nozipho Bell, has been approved to fight for the World Boxing Organisation super featherweight title in Poland next month.

She will take on the reigning champion Ewa Brodnicka of Poland.

Bell will be the third Nelson Mandela Bay boxer to fight for a world title after Vuyani Nene and the late Mzukisi Sikali.

The 28-year-old South African junior lightweight champion says it has been her dream to fight for a world title, but she didn’t expect the opportunity to come so soon.

“This has been my wish, my goal; you know when you doing something you wish that you may go far. It was my wish this year that at least I can take another title for my country; a big one like this. This chance is here now. I am looking forward to bringing it home”.
