Pastor shot dead in KZN

A 57 year-old pastor has been shot dead at Bhobhonono area in KwaXimba west of Durban.

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Colonel Thulani Zwane says the pastor sustained several gunshot wounds and died on the way to hospital.

Zwane says the motive for the killing is still unknown and the police are investigating a case of murder.

“It’s alleged that last night the man was watching TV at his home when he was shot and killed by unknown suspect. We are also appealing to anyone who might have information about the whereabouts of these suspects who allegedly shot and killed this 57 year-old man to come forward and give us information.”

No other person was injured during the shooting according to the police.
