Mbethe says they are now back on track to do their parliamentary work.

It is all systems go for Friday’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) by newly elected President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Speaker of Parliament, Baleka Mbete says there is a sigh of relief as the pressure and the anxiety they have been feeling over the last week in the lead up to Jacob Zuma’s resignation, is finally over.

Speaking on Morning Live,  Mbete says they are now back on track to do their Parliamentary work.

“We are expecting our political programme to be delivered by the new president in order that we can get on with the debate. We can get on with the budget speech on Wednesday, and we are all back to work in the way we normally do to process the budget votes. So all the work we need to do as presented in the political speech tonight is clearly what we’re facing now for 2018.”
