Parliament is back in full swing this week, with President Jacob Zuma delivering his annual address at the NCOP and various committee meetings will be sitting.

The Ad Hoc Committee on the Funding of Political Parties resumes its work and ministers in the Governance Cluster will appear for oral replies to questions raised by MPs.

Both the NCOP and the National Assembly will each have three plenaries this week.

Among other things, the NCOP will debate the rapid increase in unlawful deductions by credit providers and employers.

It will also consider reports of the Joint Committee on Ethics and Members’ Interests which relate to alleged maladministration, alleged breach of the Constitution and late disclosures.

Later in the week, President Zuma will deliver his annual address in the NCOP.
