CRL Rights Commission chairperson, Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva, says a parliamentary workshop in June last year was told that there were unusual activities happening at Seven Angels Church in Ngcobo in the Eastern Cape.
Another suspect is appearing in court on Thursday following the murder of five police officers and a soldier at a Ngcobo police station last week.
Seven suspects, linked to the murders, died during a gun battle with police at the Seven Angels Church last Friday.
Xaluva was speaking during a media briefing in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, to provide clarity on the report on Seven Angels Ministries.
