Parliament will be back in session from Tuesday

MPs during a parliament session.

Parliament will be back in session from Tuesday with many departments and State-Owned-Entities expected to present their annual reports for the 2020-2021 financial year to portfolio committees.

Members of Parliament had a break of over eight weeks to go into a constituency period.

Finance Minister Enoch Godongwane’s preparations for the delivery of the Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement on Thursday are also underway.

The Independent Electoral Commission is one of the entities that will present its annual report and financial statements to the Home Affairs Committee on Tuesday morning.

The SABC, the South African Revenue Services and the Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs Department are also expected to present their annual reports to Quality Assurance Council Umalusi and the Basic Education Department are expected to brief the Committee on examination readiness.
