The former Secretary General of the South African Council of Churches Mautji Pataki says leaders from the outgoing administration did not do well to transform the country.

Pataki says although former President Jacob Zuma’s tenure in government was marred with scandals and corruption, he did not plunge the country into its current situation by himself.

Pataki was delivering a sermon, launching the Limpopo Executive Council gathering in Polokwane.

“It only happened last night and we are saying it without sense or favour that the man who led who led this country for the past ten years did not do well, and in not doing well he had lost a sense of occasion, he is not alone, most of us have lost have a sense of occasion we have all of us, whether in business, whether in faith, whether in public service, whether in politics, we have simply lost a sense of occasion as a nation and this things cannot be pinned on one man.”
