The country’s unemployment currently stands at 27 %. Those seeking work are becoming desperate. There scattered spots in many city centers and towns where men and women wait for work along the side of the road.
Nicholas Mahlalela from Lekazi near Mbombela, Mpumalanga says he’s been searching for employment for years. The 26-year-old has become a permanent feature on Ferreira Street and Samora Machel Drive in Mbombela.
