Defence advocate, Barry Roux, will continue to question crime scene photographer Warrant Officer Barend van Staden when the murder trial of Oscar Pistorius resumes in Pretoria on Tuesday morning.

Pistorius is accused of killing his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day in 2013.

On Monday, Roux questioned van Staden about photos he took of the scene at the Pistorius residence following the death of Steenkamp.

Roux put it to van Staden that he had taken many more photos than the nine images of Pistorius that appear in the police album.

Van Staden testified that he made a total of 15 photo albums relating to the crime.

These included Steenkamp’s post mortem, blood spatter on the wall behind the bed, blood spots on the duvet and a damaged bedroom door.

Earlier, the court heard about Pistorius’ obsession with firearms.

His firearm dealer Sean Rens testified that Pistorius had ordered six firearms from him three weeks before he shot and killed Steenkamp.

It emerged that Pistorius knew exactly when as a licensed gun owner he could justifiably use lethal force.
