Both courtrooms at the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria, where Oscar Pistorius’ murder trial is being heard, are expected to be packed on Tuesday as pathologist, Gert Saayman continues revealing Reeva Steenkamp’s post mortem details.

On Monday, presiding judge Thokozile Masipa prohibited all live streaming and broadcast of the doctor’s testimony.

Journalists and members of the public squeezed themselves into the two courtrooms to listen to the graphic details of Steenkamp’s wounds. Journalists were forced to go back to old school reporting – where you take notes and later compile a summary of what was said in court.

The lack of live social media stream frustrated many Twitter and Facebook users who also wanted to learn the details of the post-mortem as they were being revealed.

Despite the ban, Gert Saayman managed to receive 30% media coverage worldwide. This is according to Data Drive Insight.
Meanwhile, 1 500 articles were written about Pistorius being sick in dock while Saayman detailed the gruesome wounds Steenkamp suffered.
