Oscar Pistorius Trial: Friday 7 March 2014

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Paralympian Oscar Pistorius faces his fifth day in the dock in the High Court in Pretoria on Friday.

Defence advocate, Barry Roux, will continue with the cross examination of a neighbour of Pistorius, radiologist Johan Stipp. Stipp’s testimony had the paralympian in tears on Thursday.

Pistorius is facing a charge of murder after he shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine’s Day last year. Pistorius is expected to face another emotional day in court when Stipp continues with his testimony.

Stipp was one of the first people on the scene and tried to help Steenkamp. She had four gunshot wound, including one to the head.

Stipp testified there was nothing he could do to save her although Pistorius pleaded with him to help her and with God to save her life.
