Orlando Pirates have ended a six-year trophy drought, claiming the 2020 MTN8 title with a 2-1 victory against Bloemfontein Celtic at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday evening.
Siphelele Luthuli opened the scoring for Celtic in the opening stages of the encounter.
However, Namibian winger, Deon Hotto, restored parity after the half hour mark.
That was before Thembinkosi Lorch came off the bench and scored the winner for the Buccaneers from the penalty spot.
The green-and-white ensemble have lost their second final this year, following a 1-nil loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup in September.
