The Operation Dudula organisation, which has led campaigns against undocumented foreign nationals, has launched its activities in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) with a march through the Durban CBD to the Point police station.

The march took place under a heavy police presence after violence erupted at Operation Dudula protests in Johannesburg.
Members of Operation Dudula say they do not want foreign nationals to run spaza shops in Durban.
They further claim that foreign nationals are employed in any job, and not just where they provide scarce skills.
Operation Dudula Secretary, Zindile Dabula says the country’s immigration laws must be enforced
“We are not a vigilante group, we are not criminals. But what we ask is that government must enforce the laws that are there. This is not a new law, it’s there, it just needs to be enforced. Our police and Home Affairs must work. They must do their job,” says Dabula .
