Forensic investigators continue to comb through the scene of a drive-by shooting which left one person dead and two others injured on President Fouche Drive in Randburg, north of Johannesburg.
The three occupants, two males and a female were travelling in a BMW X5 when another vehicle pulled up next to them and opened fire.
South African Police Services forensic investigators are still combing through the bullet riddled BMW X5, which was hit with more than 30 rounds from an automatic high calibre assault rifle.
The driver of the vehicle who is believed to be a foreign national, was killed instantly in what it is believed to have been a planned hit.
The two other occupants in the vehicle were also shot and wounded and have been transported to hospital. Traffic is severely backed on Malibongwe Drive, with delays all the way from the N1 highway, due to the closure of President Fouche Drive.
