The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) will launch the Youth Month Programme in Soweto on Monday.
Speaking on SABC’s Morning Live,NYDAspokesperson Siya Magadla says the launch will take place at the Hector Peterson Square. The Minister in Presidency Jeff Radebe, his Deputy Minister Buti Manamela and Minister of Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa will attend the event.
Magadla says that this is a demonstration that government takes youth developments seriously. Magadla says that they will return to Soweto for the My History Educational Tour programme on June 7.
Magadla says that this year, commemoration of the youth will take place in the context of 20 years of Democracy and as a result they will highlight the importance of education and skills development.
